About The Midland Group
The Midland Group is a company created from a vision of serving the disadvantaged and, at the same time, providing a valuable service to the healthcare industry. The Midland Group was established to fulfill the charitable mission of improving access to healthcare for low-income people. Midland provides hospital revenue cycle services including: - Public health benefits eligibility, - Social Security Disability and SSI appeals, - Financial counseling including point-of-service collection, - Third-party billing services -- all payers, - Accident/liability lien services and claims recovery, and - An extended payment program for hospital patients. Midland's highly experienced staff can tailor one or more of these services to benefit any size or type of organization, from a 35-bed rural county-owned Critical Access Hospital to a major urban flagship facility with multiple locations. Currently, we work with 130+ facilities serving tens of thousands of patients and handling millions in revenue. Our staff is highly educated with 48% owning college diplomas and all department managers possessing advanced degrees. Since we work with a diverse community, 25% of our staff is conversant in a second language. Midland is owned and controlled by the Independence Charitable Trust (ICT), a 501(c)(3) charitable trust. ICT is directed by a board of citizen leaders with the mission of providing grants to other charitable organizations in any state. Each month, Midland donates a portion of their revenue to ICT. Revenue cycles are undergoing a dynamic transformation. Midland can ease the stress of dwindling payments and increasing self-pay balances by providing unparalleled service for maximized reimbursement and improved patient satisfaction.
